Low volume playing from bluray player. Thread starter BubbleDouble Start date Jan 25, BubbleDouble Well-known Member. I've searched the menus on the bluray player, but can't find any adjustment to bring the bluray audio up to the same level Does anyone have any ideas? Seems to be a Sony problem.
Sold mine and bought a Toshiba which is fine. Last edited: Jan 25, Nic Rhodes Well-known Member. I would look at your setting. Last edited: Jan 27, In the menu settings on the G15, i think its in the 'other settings' page there is a volume difference setting which allows you compensate and alter the sound difference between say an xbox and freeview. So when you come off one and go on the other the sound stays roughly the same. Dont know if iv explained it very well or it work with Blue ray though but worth a try as its works with my Xbox.
Do you send your audio as bitstream or pcm to your TV, you could try switching beteew the two, to see if they any diff. I'll have a look at the options on the G However, switching from Freeview to Sky input the sound volume stays about the same, which is fine.
It's only when switching to bluray on HDMI 1 that the volume is very quite. Is it possible to adjust the volume of each input separately? No idea. Just go into the audio setting of your Sony ,and tried switching beteew bitstream, and pcm. That great. There was an option to change audio to 'Direct' and this seemed to sort the problem out.
Think you lose PIP audio if you do this. See threads I listed above. You must log in or register to reply here. Similar threads. First, look on the box for your Blu-Ray disk. In many cases, it will list the type of surround sound the movie is encoded in. In many cases, that means it only plays the front left and front right channels.
Many movies encode the dialog, people talking, on the center channel, which does not have a speaker to play on. If you are just using the speakers on your television, it is recommended to check the Blu-Ray menus, before you start watching, for audio options; sometimes the manufacturer will have a 2-channel audio track available so your program will sound better on the equipment you have available.
Every Blu-Ray disk has a different menu with different features, and every Blu-Ray player has a different way of accessing those menus. If you are unsure how to access the audio options menu for the specific disk you are using, check the user manual or contact the manufacturer for more information.
